Best for you. Best for baby.

Welcome!

Thank you for visiting my website! My name is Beckie Walker and I am a Registered Nurse (RN), an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM).  I am the founder/owner of BestFeeding Lactation & Feeding Consultation, LLC where I originally performed home visits as an IBCLC to the Philadelphia community and now serving the Berks, Lebanon, Lancaster, Montgomery & Philadelphia counties as I recently moved to Reading, PA.

I am originally from Hershey, Pennsylvania but moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to attend Drexel University where I received my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing, minored in Addictions Counseling, and concentrated in Human Lactation/Breastfeeding.  After graduating in June 2015, I was successful in becoming a Registered Nurse as well as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.  I completed my clinical hours for the Human Lactation/Breastfeeding Program at Pennsylvania Hospital, the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, as well as Drexel University's 11th Street Clinic in North Philadelphia so I have experience with helping parents and children with breastfeeding/lactation from providing prenatal education, fresh newborns during their initial hospital stay, as well as infants who have been breastfeeding for weeks, months or years.

I have experience working as a Registered Nurse at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, VA as well as an IBCLC at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, PA. I just recently graduated from Georgetown University where I completed their Women’s Health NP/Certified Nurse Midwifery program and received a Master’s Degree in the Science of Nursing.

Best of all, I am a mommy to the little munchkin pictured on this page.  Being a mom is the best thing to ever happen to me and my breastfeeding journey has truly impacted my work as an IBCLC.  My hopes for this site is to serve as a platform for my private practice lactation consulting business as well as provide resources for families who wish to learn more about pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum, lactation, and all things that encompass becoming a parent and raising children.

Because I just recently moved back to Pennsylvania, I am not accepting insurance at this time. I will be back in-network with local insurance carriers by 2023. I do accept out-of-pocket payments and can provide a Super Bill with proper coding for patients to receive partial or full reimbursement from their insurance companies.

I look forward to working with you!
